Description: The use of sage in Western Herbal Medicine dates back to the Middle Ages. Used for both medicinal and culinary purposes, sage was touted as one of the most important herbs of its time by Dioscorides, the Father of Modern Herbal Medicine. It has been used traditionally in Western Herbal Medicine to help reduce hot flushes and sweating - particularly in menopausal women. In more modern times, Sage is a herb that has been used to assist with memory, concentration, focus and mental clarity.
