Caruso's BERBERINE CRAVE LESS® formulation contains a combination of herbal extracts along with trace minerals. This formula helps to suppress the appetite, reduce hunger and assist in the management of food cravings.

Caruso's BERBERINE CRAVE LESS® contains a high extract ratio of Berberis aristata, which has been standardised to the herbal constituent, Berberine. Berberis aristata has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a hepatoprotectant (to protect the liver) and to support the flow of bile, while Caralluma plays an important role in helping to manage food cravings and suppress the appetite. The trace minerals Iodine and Chromium have various actions and in this formulation. Iodine supports the body's metabolic rate, along with supporting healthy thyroid gland function and energy production. Chromium assists in the digestion and metabolism of carbohydrates including sugar and maintains healthy blood sugar in healthy individuals.

Description: Berberis aristata is the botanical name for the herbal ingredient commonly known as Indian Barberry. It is native to the Northern Himalayan region where many of its traditional uses arise. In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, Berberis has been used as a hepatoprotectant, which means it has effects in protecting (-protectant) the liver (hepato-), along with supporting the secretion and flow of bile from the liver. The therapeutic benefits of Berberis aristata come from the main active constituent, Berberine, which has been standardised in this formulation.

Name: Caralluma adscendens var. fimbriata (Caralluma)

Description: Caralluma adscendens is the botanical name for the herbal ingredient commonly known as Caralluma. It is an edible cactus that is native to India, and has been used in culinary practices such as in chutneys or preserves, and also medicinally. The therapeutic benefits of Caralluma include assisting with the management of food cravings, and can also suppress the appetite while reducing feelings of hunger.

Name: Iodine

Description: Iodine is a trace mineral that can be found in dietary sources including seaweed (kelp), seafoods such as cod, dairy products such as yogurt, egg yolk and other fortified foods such as salt, bread and cereals. Iodine is essential for the maintenance of thyroid gland health, and supports healthy thyroid gland functions such as assisting in the production of thyroid hormones.
