Description: Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) is an essential, water soluble vitamin required by the body to ensure that all its tissues function properly. Similar to other B vitamins, thiamine is essential for the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats which the body turns into energy. Vitamin B1 is found in foods such as beef, oats, eggs, seeds, legumes, brown rice and oranges.
