Osteoblasts help move Calcium into your bones, and osteoclasts move Calcium out of your bones and into your bloodstream. Vitamin K2 plays an important role in the production and activity of osteocalcin, a protein secreted by osteoblasts. Osteocalcin binds Calcium and incorporates it into your bones (a process known as mineralisation).
